Toni Porter
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Toni Porter is Executive Director of the Sunflower State Infrastructure & Technology Coalition (SSITC), where she serves as the organization’s chief executive and principal representative to policymakers, military officials, business and industry executives, economic development organizations, educational institutions, community partners, and other key stakeholders across Kansas.
A respected coalition builder and strategic leader, Porter has built her career connecting organizations, communities, and decision-makers around initiatives that drive economic growth, strengthen infrastructure, advance technology innovation, and expand opportunity across Kansas.
Porter has extensive experience working with federal, state, and local government officials, military representatives, corporate executives, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, philanthropic institutions, educational partners, and nonprofit organizations to address emerging economic, workforce, and infrastructure priorities. Her leadership has consistently focused on fostering strategic partnerships, aligning diverse interests, and creating sustainable frameworks that support innovation, growth, and investment.
Known for her ability to bridge sectors and cultivate trusted relationships, Porter has led stakeholder engagement, advocacy, business development, strategic communications, external affairs, and resource development initiatives throughout her career. She is particularly skilled at transforming competing priorities into collaborative action and building coalitions that unite public, private, education, nonprofit, and military sectors around shared objectives.
Her professional background includes service in positions requiring a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance, providing firsthand experience operating in highly sensitive environments that demand discretion, sound judgment, accountability, and effective collaboration among government, military, and civilian stakeholders.
As Executive Director of SSITC, Porter is advancing a statewide coalition dedicated to strengthening infrastructure investment, digital connectivity, technology innovation, workforce alignment, and economic competitiveness. In this role, she serves as the Coalition’s primary ambassador and advocate, working closely with policymakers, industry leaders, economic development organizations, community partners, and strategic stakeholders to strengthen Kansas’ infrastructure and technology ecosystem.
